How to do Income tax e filling (only for TDS)

Prerequisites
1. You should hold a PAN card.

2. You should have a user id and password to login to
https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/

3. Check your registration status in the below link
https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/portal/register.do?screen=registerPage1

4. If you do not have a the login credentials then create your login id online. Click “New User Registration” https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/portal/login.do



Procedure to upload the ITR1.xml
1. Log on to https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/portal/login.do. User id will be your PAN number.

2. Click on “Know Jurisdiction” to get your income tax ward details.


3. Go to “Download” tab and select AY2011-12.

4. Select appropriate type of Return Form (ITR-1) and download the Xls template in your desktop.


5. Update the xls file with necessary data from your Form 16. After updating all information, click calculate tax, validate and generate XML file.


6. Go to “Submit Return” -->“Select Assessment Year”--> “AY 11-12” and load the XML file in the site.


7. Once loaded, take the print out of the ITR-V page.

8. Post the ITR-V page to "Income Tax Department – CPC, Post Bag No - 1, Electronic City Post Office, Bengaluru - 560100, Karnataka", only by normal post.

9. Check the status of ITR-V at “ITR-V Receipt Status”. You will get an acknowledgment mail to your email id once IT Dept received your ITR-V form.

10. And finally you will get a mail with subject “Intimation U/S 143(1) for PAN ASMxxxxx7L AY:20111-12” with respect to the return of income filed by you for the Assessment Year 2011-12. You will get this mail between 6 to 8 months after e filling. This document gives you the details about AGGREGATE INCOME TAX LIABILITY, TOTAL TAX CREDIT, TOTAL INCOME TAX REFUND, NET AMOUNT REFUNDABLE and NET AMOUNT PAYABLE.

PS: This is not an expert suggestion. I just wanted to share the procedure I followed to e-file my Tax this year. Following these instructions are subjected to user's risk.

என் தென்றலே உன் சுவசத்தில்

விழியோடு முளைத்தக் காதல்
இமை முடினும் இருளாதே
உயிரொடு வளர்ந்த காதல்
மரித்தாலும் மரியாதே....

உன் வாசம் வீசும் பாதையில் வருகிறேன்

Comparing others - is it appreciable ?

I born in a beautiful place in south India. God gave me good parents and life. I belong to a middle class family. I am an average performing student in academics. Some how after a big struggle i completed my engineering from a reputed institute. I started my carrier in a very good company. Later i quit the job and joined another company. I quit 4 companies in 5 years of my carrier. Now i am placed in an IT company with a decent package. Some times i feel that i had spent tough times in my childwood. I am little bit comparative. Everyone is new to this world and we are not sure what needs to be done and what's not. So i always compare me with the one who is successful in a particular field. I feel that, the guys next to me has been blessed with what ever he wants at the same time, even my needs are not fullfilled. I never jealous/envy on them, but i wanted to have atleast my needs to get satisfied. If God don't want to give, then its my responsibility to get it done by myself.


I heard people always say that comparing you with others is like you are insulting yourself. If you have some bad habit and you want to get rid of it, then what will you do....you need to think of ideal characters and you follow them. The basic purpose of ideal workship in Hinduism portrays that mankind needs some kind of physical example/image to follow in his/her life. This is a simple way to get success in your life. Tell me what is the use of all books and philosophies in this world. It is difficult for you to know things by expeirencing it. So books helps to get others idea on a particular topic. After reading a novel, we normall used to feel that we are not as good as the hero to impress a girl. he he he . This is nothing but comparison. Later don't we want to improve on it ? I would say that comparing you with others is a kind a measurement you do to see where exactly you are and this helps in your improments. Look at others, take their good characters and ignore their bad things. This is not wrong in any way. Many Scholars says that "if you want to be happy, then look at the people below you. And get inspired by looking at people above you". The only problem in using this technique is that you need to find a good role model.


An example, I have some personal commitment and I need a huge amount of money. I worked in a manufacturing company and one day i met one of my school friend who worked for an IT firm in chennai. He earned three times more than me. This information lightened the firework in my thoughts. I started thinking that there a people in this world with same knowledge earning much more than me. I transformed this thought as a positive desire. I worked hard for this and after a year i joined in an IT company with a good salary. The positive desire totally driven me to a different level in my life. I compared my salary with my friend and this really helped me to improve myself. Good that i did not compared me with Bill Gates..... he he he..... am i did something wrong here ? I still have a very good relationship with my friend and i am also doing well.


People says that Wisdom has no limits and you need to target that and not mankind. No one has any idea where it lies. It is not a SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-Bound) goal for a layman like me. Here again i am saying that comparing with others should always create a positive desire for your own improvement. Jealous/envy should not be the outcome of this improvent process.

So friends, if you fell that your friend is comparing you, then be proud that you are considered as a role model by your friend on his/her improvement. Help them to attain their desire, if you want to really help them.

Positive desire definitely brings Great achievements.
